Event to Metric Processor

Purpose: Converts log events into structured metric events (e.g., counters, gauges) for monitoring and analysis.

Key Features:

  • Metric Types: Choose between incremental (counter) or absolute (gauge) metrics.
  • Field References: Use field values as metric data points or tags.

Steps to Add:

  1. Edit the pipeline and click Add Processor.
  2. Select Event to Metric and configure:
  • Title/Description for clarity.
  • Metric name (e.g., error_count).
  • Metric type (sum, counter, gauge).
  • Optional tag fields and values for metadata.

Note: If you need to retain the original log, duplicate it before routing to this processor.
