# Encrypt Field Processor

## Encrypt Field Processor

**Purpose:** Encrpyt fields in-flight, to allow for sensative data to be preserved while not plainly readable.

**Key Features:**

* **Decryption Options:** Choose an algorithm (e.g., AES-256-CFB) and provide a decryption key.
* **Initialization Vector (IV):** Required for some algorithms to decode data correctly.

**Steps to Add:**

1. Edit the pipeline and click **Add Processor**.
2. Select **Encrypt Field** and configure:

* Target field name you want to encrypt.
* Encryption algorithm.
* Key and IV (initialization vector) for the field.
